Hydraulics Distance Learning

MTCS Ltd offer a 2 stage hydraulics distance learning programme. These courses are aimed at all ROV personnel who are involved in or are responsible for hydraulic systems. This may range from Technicians who require either an introduction or refresher course through to their Supervisors.

Stage 1 – an electronic interactive Hydraulics Safety Awareness course that explains the basic concepts of hydraulics, including personal safety, equipment safety and environmental aspects. Suitable for beginners, this course is designed to be completed in about 16 guided learning hours, spread over a period of a few weeks. It concludes with a multiple choice assessment. This gains a certifcate of training in ‘ROV Hydraulics Safety Awareness’.

Stage 2 – a paperbased distance learning book that goes into more depth than Stage 1. It is suitable for those who have completed Stage 1 training or those who can demonstrate prior knowledge & experience of hydraulics. It is designed to be completed over a period of time from 6 months to a year and includes written self – assessments and learning activities to demonstrate that you can transfer your newly aquired knowledge into performance in the workplace. This gains a certificate of ‘Competence in ROV Hydraulics ’.

The course will incorporate policies, procedures and equipment that is used within the candidates organisation and will encourage the candidate to research their employers policies and procedures regarding hydraulic systems.

Please Note: – You can purchase both Stage 1 & Stage 2 training packs for the price of £165 ex vat. However to gain the ‘Certifcate of Competence’ after Stage 2, a further assessment & certification fee of £180 ex vat  is payable.
