Maritime Training & Competence Solutions Ltd is located in the heart of the Lake District, on the shores of  Britain’s largest lake at 12 miles in length. The Lake District is renowned all over the world for it’s natural beauty and breathtaking scenery, it is the largest and most visited national park in England. For the more adventurous, The Lake District is an outdoor pursuit enthusiasts heaven, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, sailing or hiking you name it-all can be done here.

So it is not hard to see why many of our delegates make a weekend break after their training courses!

Located in such a popular and well known area, MTCS Ltd has the advantage of being easily accessible by road, rail, sea and air.

Road:A short 20 minute drive will bring you into Windermere from the M6 motorway, Junction 36. Alternatively, simply type in our postcode (LA23 2HJ) to AA route planner or a Sat Nav for alternative routes.

Rail:Windermere railway station is less than a ten minute walk away from the MTCS Ltd training centre. Regular trains link Windermere with Oxenholme station on the main Euston/West Coast line. Journey times: London=less than 4 hours, Manchester=less than 1.5 hours, Edinburgh=less than 4 hours, Birmingham=less than 2.5 hours and Newcastle=less than 3 hours.

Sea: Our nearest ferry port is Heysham, with regular links from Belfast and The Isle of Man.  Liverpool and Holyhead ports have regular links from Belfast and Dublin and Newcastle and Hull ports link from Northern Europe.

Air: The Lake District is served by various neighbouring airports, although our nearest and most accessible airport with good transport links to Windermere is Manchester International. If wishing to hire a car upon arrival, the next best airports are; Newcastle, Liverpool, Humberside, Teesside, Glasgow, and East Midlands which are all within easy driving distance. Many low cost airlines fly to these locations.
