Subsea Technology Client Awareness Course

MTCS Ltd offers a 3 day ‘Subsea Technology Awareness Course’ that is designed to assist companies in becoming familiar with aspects of Subsea engineering that are pertinent to the Renewable Energy Industry

The Course is designed to support personnel who may be experienced in land based renewable systems, but are now required to make the transition into the offshore sectors.

The Course will provide a comprehensive overview of the role of divers and ROV in the Subsea environment and will cover specific aspects of construction, inspection and intervention operations.

It will also discuss the important safety legislation that applies to subsea engineering and specific codes of practice that relate to working in the marine environment.

The Course may be run at our UK based ROV Training Centre where delegates can experience our real ROV and simulator! Alternatively the course can be run at a client’s premises and be tailored to their specific requirements if required.

The Course includes:

  • The role of the diver and ROV in subsea operations
  • Operational safety considerations
  • Offshore vessels/barges and installations
  • Capabilities and limitations of the ROV and the diver
  • Technical overview of subsea equipment
  • Effects of the environment subsea operations
  • Offshore Personnel Requirements
  • Overview of deepwater and ultra deepwater operations
