10th/11th February 2010
The Subsea UK exhibition and conference kicked off on the 10th and 11th of February at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Subsea UK is the largest subsea oil and gas exhibition of its kind in Europe. Over 2,000 delegates and 200 exhibitors attended Subsea 2010 which focused on international opportunities for UK businesses in the sector following the theme of ‘Riding the next Wave’.
The conference program welcomed many of the industry leaders, contractors and suppliers to give their views on the major issues currently affecting the subsea industry. Conference delegates also welcomed key note speaker Lord Hunt (Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change) along with Jim Murphy (Secretary of State) and a range of further speakers from the UK, Murmansk region and Brazil.
MTCS Ltd helped to provide training for the simulator on the ISS stand and we’re on hand to discuss various training and competency needs with delegates and exhibitors alike. Our IT & simulator coordinator Doug Greenhough, had the opportunity of guiding Lord Hunt on how to fly an ROV on the simulator.
