Windermere based Maritime Training and Competence Solutions Ltd (MTCS) has announced it has won a major contract to set up a maritime training centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in partnership with PAL Maritime with funding provided by the Malaysian government.

Richard Warburton, Managing Director, said “We are delighted to have secured this contract which comes on the back of our strong track record in the sector in the far East and particularly our work with PAL Maritime – an ROV operation based Kuala Lumpur.  The oil and gas industry in the far East is thriving but training facilities there remain limited.  We will be organizing a major training schedule for PAL staff at our facilities in Windermere to build their expertise and knowledge,with our trainers overseeing quality and content our long term aim is for local staff to be able deliver MTCS training in country”.
